The Prince of Wales Theatre

Wednesday 17th April 2024

After our successful debut at this wonderful venue last year, we were invited back for a repeat visit.

So we were in at three o'clock setting up, sound checking and just soaking up the atmosphere.

We were pleased to offer the audience some new tunes to open the show, with the excellent Darren Ashford joining us on drums.

Doug joined us on stage following our traditional opening trio of classic tunes from our era.

We are featuring Doug on guitar on a couple of songs this year.

Time was passing so quickly and before we knew it we were into the second half, with a change of shirts of course.

We do occasionally feature a song from later than the 60s and 70s.

Steve has a lot of time for Ed Sheeran and this year we are featuring his song - The Joker and the Queen.

Once again, Steve's lovely daughter, Jo, featured as our special guest, singing John Denver's Country Roads - to great acclaim.

Jo stayed on for our rendition of Be My Baby by the Ronettes.

Thanks to all for another fabulous evening at the Prince of Wales - hope to see you again next year!

Thanks to Jan for the pics.
